Fall Baseball & Softball Registration Fall baseball and softball registrations will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 6pm to 8pm at the Pocono Township Municipal building located on RT 611 in Tannersville.   This is a One-Time only registration event.   Registration Fee: $25 per participant.   Fall ball programs will be organized based upon participation interest. Certain levels of play may or may not be available based upon registration numbers at this event and coaching participation commitments.   If you're interested in coaching, please contact Pat Riley at pappi431@yahoo.com.     2010 All Star Tournament Congratulations Big Pocono Sr. Softball Team   State Championship Tournament Update Congratulations to our Big Pocono Little League Senior Girls All-Stars.  On July 9, 2010 BPLL Senior Girls won the district championship and advanced to the State Tournament.   On July 22, 2010 the BPLL Senior Girls lost their opening game 14-4 to Plains Township LL and then rebounded to beat Towanda LL 17-6 on Friday with a total team effort pounding out 18 hits, winning pitcher was Kathleen Moore.  Sunday's games were rained out and forced BPLL to play a double header on Monday.  BPLL beat Caln LL 6-1 on a stellar pitching performance by Alley Roth and great defense by BPLL.  BPLL then played Bristol LL in the second game of the double header, BPLL jumped out to a lead of 6-1 until Bristol went ahead in the bottom of the 6th 7-6.  In the top of the 7th BPLL battled back to score three runs to make the score 9-7.  In the bottom of the 7th Bristol LL battled back to hit a two out two run double to end the game 10-9.    This is BPLL Senior Girls best finish ever finishing 3rd in the state.  Coach Rusty Johnson wanted to say thank you for all the effort and how proud he is of all his girls on this years team, these girls after getting beat in the opening game 14-4 showed so much character to battle back to make it within one out of the state championship game, GIRLS ITS BEEN A GREAT RIDE.   After speaking with the other coaches in the tournament after last nights game, believe me they knew that BPLL was there!     Ashley Smith Memorial Fundraiser Event Congratulations to our League's Baseball Coaches  Baseball Team Blue Defeats Softball Team Pink 8 -5   Thanks to all our Big Pocono families and friends for supporting this special event.     Big Pocono Fan Wear Now Available   Fan Wear Store provided by (mail@shopwoa.com) Credit Card or PayPal Account Required     ESSA Bank and Trust Foundation Grant Big Pocono Little League is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $36,000 grant from the ESSA Bank and Trust Foundation to support the organization’s project to renovate the TLC baseball field.  The field, located on Route 715 across from The Crossings outlets and behind the site of the former Tannersville Learning Center, has been rarely used for competitive baseball or softball in recent years, due to poor drainage and frequent flooding.  The renovation project’s goal is ....
