Why are you asking for our occupation?

It was discussed by the Board that having that information would be extremely valuable.  Below are just a few examples:

We have approached an accountant who helped us prepare our LL tax information and he donated his time.  We saved the league approximately $300 because of this information.

In 2006, the addition of concession stand equipment, press box outlets and wiring for the scoreboard took the skill of a licensed electrician.  From the sign-ups we were able to find electricians who helped us wire all for nothing!

We had a malfunctioning garage door and when we called and asked what a service call would cost we were told $75.00 plus parts.  We had a father who was an overhead door installer and we asked him to look at the door when he brought his son to practice, one part from his truck and 10 minutes later, the door was fixed.

Some fathers who are builders in the community were able to obtain materials for us in our construction needs and a local builder built our dugouts and press box.  Another builder stepped up and shingled our roofs for these buildings!

We have parents who are EMT's helping put together our safety training for our coaches. 

This is the true meaning of community.  People come together as one and help each other.  These are the lessons and role models we want our children to be exposed to, so that they too can develop the community spirit.

If we didn't know this information and didn't ask for assistance, we would have much higher registration fees and the facilities your children are playing on, would be no where near the quality we have been providing.

In essence, the community is loaded with very talented parents and it would be very valuable if you knew there was an EMT, Nurse or even Doctor at an adjourning field if we needed them due to an emergency.

I hope this explains it well enough, and that we find it a positive aspect for the future in the Little League Community.
