PMEYA is happy to
introduce the Challenger Basketball
Program, a unique opportunity for Monroe
County’s special needs children,
ages 6-21 (if still in school) to play
basketball. We will hold games each
Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM in the Pocono
Mountain East High School Gymnasium.
The season will begin in January 2008
and run through February 17.
Please be advised that
PMEYA charges $45.00 per player or
$65.00 per family to register for
basketball. Please understand that
WE WANT to run this Challenger
Basketball program FREE of
charge, IF we get enough sponsors.
WE WILL EXPECT ALL PARENTS of athletes
to solicit local businesses and
corporations for the necessary funds to
run this program properly.
If
we do not get enough funds, we will be
forced to charge a nominal fee for
insurance, uniforms and medals.
Exceptions with any financial hardship,
kept strictly confidential.
We will accept any and
all proactive donations. Thank you for
your support. Please make checks
payable to PMEYA and note “Challenger
Basketball” on the check. Please feel

Please come out and support this great program. This community
service will help these kids and families out so very much. With your support
we will allow these kids to have the same opportunity to play team sports and
benefit from the team play, as all of our kids do. The kids will leave a lasting
impression on you & your child.
Your entire team, a few kids, or your one child will be welcome
to come support this great cause. The more the merrier.
